You can mount the ball head to a tripod or rig. Three openings on the side can easily set the Ulanzi U-30 ball head in three different positions. This allows you to film vertically in any direction. The top of the ball head is coated in anti slip rubber for a tight grip on your device without causing damage. A sturdy turning knob can lock the ball head in place at any angle.
